Maria Leonor Romero Ochoa has been honored by the Ministry of Education of Peru with the following award: “Palmas magisteriales en el Grado de Amauta.” This is the highest recognition that a teacher may receive in Peru for his/her professional itinerary in favor of education in the country. MADRID, Spain.
The film “Poveda” was screened at the auditorium of the seminary of the Archdiocese of Madrid on Tuesday, September 20, for approximately seventy young people and adults who are preparing for the priesthood.

BRUSSELS, Belgium.
Organized by EDIW (Education for an interdependent world) and as part of the "Roots and Wings" project (Capacity Building Erasmus +), a training Seminar was held in Rome from July 18 to July 23. The training focused on some of the current social challenges in Europe such as: employment, inclusion, education and participation for all. The proposal seeks to promote participation of young people to address them. Each of the challenges was analyzed in small groups and in plenary sessions. Diogo Silva, Sara Cascais, and Silvia Rosa wrote this communication.

On August 9, 2016, the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology, of Dominican Republic, approved the establishment of Pedro Poveda Higher Institute of Educational Studies (ISEP, in Spanish) proposed by Poveda Cultural Center, a pioneer in teacher training in the public sector in vulnerable contexts, and educational research, since 1985.
