On the feast of Saint Teresa of Jesus, on October 15, we publish "Generosity and charm, essential to the Teresian spirit of Saint Pedro Poveda," a text written by Mª Encarnación González Rodriguez on the occasion of the V Centenary of St. Teresa which was celebrated last year.
Starting on October 18, the film POVEDA will be available on DVD and Blu-ray formats in different bookstores and other shops.

Organized by EDIW (Education for an interdependent world) and as part of the "Roots and Wings" project (Capacity Building Erasmus +), a training Seminar was held in Rome from July 18 to July 23. The training focused on some of the current social challenges in Europe such as: employment, inclusion, education and participation for all. The proposal seeks to promote participation of young people to address them. Each of the challenges was analyzed in small groups and in plenary sessions. On August 9, 2016, the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology, of Dominican Republic, approved the establishment of Pedro Poveda Higher Institute of Educational Studies (ISEP, in Spanish) proposed by Poveda Cultural Center, a pioneer in teacher training in the public sector in vulnerable contexts, and educational research, since 1985.
