Mística y Profecía is the title of a digital book that collects the proceedings of the American and Caribbean Congress of Theology and Spirituality in celebration of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa of Avila. It was published at the end of 2016 by Editorial de autores de Argentina. Download of the book is free.
Several times a year the doors of Espace Poveda (Poveda’s Space) of the Teresian Association in Paris open to a proposal that they have called "Repas qui prend son temps" (Meals without haste).
After three years of study, on February 18, the graduation of 16 participants in the Second Course on Theological Biblical Formation took place in Holguin. The course was taught by Carmen Aparicio Valls, Theology Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, with the support of Araceli Cantero in matters of spiritual integration. The course has received academic support from members of the Teresian Association and logistic support from San Arnoldo Janssen Center for the Formation of the Laity of the Diocese of Holguín, which was the location for the face-to-face meetings and the graduation ceremony.
NAZARETH / BETHLEHEM, Holy Land.
In addition to Jerusalem, the film POVEDA has been screened in Nazareth and Bethlehem on February 10th and 11th. The three events were a privileged opportunity to make St. Pedro Poveda better known, and to go over the beginnings of the Teresian Association in the land of Jesus.
MALABO, Equatorial Guinea.
On January 30th, at Our Lady of Africa School, Malabo, the Day of Non-violence and Peace was celebrated with various actions. This celebration is observed since 1964 on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated in 1948. UNESCO recognized it in 1993. The need to educate for tolerance, solidarity, respect for Human Rights, non-violence and peace is celebrated.
In a few weeks, it will be a year since the premiere of the film POVEDA in Spain. Since then it has not ceased to be screened in different cities. In some cases, as in Burgos on 5 February, the experience is completed with a film discussion (there are support guides in Spanish and English for this purpose).
The parish communities of Our Lady of the Pine and St. Agnes, both in Villaverde Alto, Madrid, agreed to show the film POVEDA. The event took place on January 15 in a room of the St. Agnes Parish. More than a hundred people arrived, surpassing the predicted expectations.

And it all started with a dream. A young priest, José Adalberto Salvini, returned to Brazil after sharing the fervor and joy at the canonization of St. Pedro Poveda on May 4, 2003. He came back with a remarkable devotion and admiration for a martyr of an unparalleled charism. As the new parish priest of Santa Lucía, in Taquaritinga, a city north of the state of São Paulo, he wanted to make Poveda the patron saint of a peripheral area, which would grow rapidly and become a community. And so it happened.
