Ikasbide School celebrates St. Teresa

BILBAO, Spain.
The educational community of Ikasbide school in Bilbao started the celebration of the V Centenary of St. Teresa of Jesus with the Eucharist.  During the Mass they presented the educational program for 2014 - 2015 under the topic: "We share what we are: to be and grow with others."

During the celebration the students of Primary and Secondary Education built a road on which they illustrated the reflection that each group had done in class on the path they want to travel during the academic year.

To make the proposal a reality, for each stage they identified actions that promote self-knowledge to grow, be, live, and share, with reference to the spiritual path of Saint Teresa as a journey of growth.

The students have also planned to learn more about the Saint of Avila in this Jubilee Year. They want to learn from her to live a committed life and of friendship with God.  They want to learn from her how to be fully human while living a deep spiritual life.

Finally they wish to make the school a meeting place for all the members of the school according to the message of Jesus: a place where a free, peaceful and harmonious coexistence is possible.
