Together, building a culture of care

TA members in Dublin are hosting an online series of sessions exploring the Encyclical Laudato Si' and how we can respond together to challenges and opportunities now emerging.

Five years ago Pope Francis launched Laudato Si’, to great interest worldwide. We invite you to join us this Lent 2021 in exploring Laudato Si’ (LS) together: how it is speaking to us now, five years on, and how we can go forward together as one human family caring for our common home. Truly, COVID-19 has made clear how deeply we are all interconnected and interdependent.

We are very fortunate to have Jane Mellett to lead us in three sessions on these topics. Jane is Laudato Si’ Officer with Trócaire, the development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland, (the equivalent of Caritas in many countries) and member of the LS Working Group-Ireland.

culture of care

As we begin to envision a post-COVID world, we need above all an integrated approach.

“Everyone’s talents and involvement are needed” Bishops of South Africa. LS 14.

“We must all cooperate; it’s not just one person here while the others only come along. Everyone has their place, their duty, their responsibility.” Pedro Poveda.

We look forward to starting this conversation with you on Tuesday, 2nd March, at 8 pm, Dublin Time.
