Leo XIII Residence for Graduates and Postgraduates started its fifth year with an academic ceremony and celebrated the achievement of several of its residents.
A seminar on "Families and Schools in Difficult Times" took place in Lima, Peru, on September 30, facilitated by the Socio-Educational Proposal of the Teresian Association (SEP) in America.
With the theme: Educate in Difficult Times: Deepen, Systematize, Influence, Innovate, a Seminar on the Socio-Educational Proposal of the Teresian Association (TA) in America took place in Bolivia on October 4-8, 2017. Forty-two people from 11 countries participated. They wanted to go over and evaluate the process from 2013 to 2018. Maite Uribe (TA President) and Elisa Estévez (Member of the TA Governing Council) attended the event. At the end of the meeting, the participants left with the desire and commitment to open and strengthen new paths of transformation of that which is human, with the strength of the Gospel.

The Socio-educational Movement (SEM), "Educating in Difficult Times" in Brazil, celebrates ten years. In this context, the X National Seminar was held last August 19 with the theme "National Curricular Common Base tensions and challenges" at the Teresian School in Rio de Janeiro with much participation.
A seminar-workshop on "Teachers as Guidance Counselors, Companions in the Journey,” took place on August 20th at the Victoria Díez Center for Culture, Formation and Development in Dapitan, Sampaloc District, Manila. This was organized by members of the Teresian Association (TA) working in public schools. The event was part of the celebrations of the feast of Blessed Victoria Díez, teacher, catechist and martyr, whose feast is celebrated on August 12.
VILLA EL SALVADOR, Peru.
The Teresian School in Dublin (Ireland) celebrates now eleven years working with the Teresian group of Villa El Salvador, Peru. The project began eleven years ago when Inés Neira, the Teresian School Manager, in conjunction with Janett Ramirez from Solydes, proposed to bring a group of students to Peru to raise awareness about the poverty in that area of the country. Since that year, 2006, nine groups of students have passed through Villa El Salvador accompanied by teachers and and former mothers and past pupils. The experience now continues with the Centro Cultural Guadix team.
During a meeting on the Educational Proposal of Pedro Poveda at the headquarters of the Teresian Association in Rome, Margarita Bartolomé Pina presented a volume of the Critical Edition of the writings of Poveda, "Essays and Pedagogical Projects."

Pedro Poveda school in León has received the National Monte de Piedad 2017 award for its educational approach to form "autonomous, critical, and reflective people who are committed to their community."

On May 6, Our Lady of Africa Center in Malabo opened its doors to celebrate the Second Gathering of Alumni with the theme "United to do good" in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

On March 16, the wish of a large group of former students of Ana Mª Saborido Gómez was fulfilled: seeing the name of their teacher immortalized in a public place approved by the City Council of Coria del Río, Seville, a city where she had served as Principal.
