On 17 June last, Raquel Pérez Sanjuán received the Charism Award for Education granted by the Spanish Conference of Religious CONFER. Raquel Pérez is Director of the Spanish Episcopal Commission for Education and Culture. Since last February she is a member of the State School Council attached to the Spanish Ministry of Education.
A VIRTUAL MEETING
Intergenerational dialogue focused on the Global Compact on Education − advocated by Pope Francis − as part of our Socio-educational Project (PSE) Educating in difficult times.
The International Alumni Commission has been in operation for about eight months, and here they report on the virtual meetings that have been held during this time. They note that there is a lot that they share and that the charism is very much alive.
The Bana Ya Poveda Centre in Kinshasa provides street children with school and vocational training, helping in their family and social reintegration. The Centre is a lively and busy place.
A work assignment has opened up horizons for a sewing workshop in which students with special needs are trained at the TA Education Centre in Malabo.

It is the second year of Project FORTH, an Erasmus plus capacity building project in Higher Education co funded by the European Commission on “Formation of Teachers in Emerging Challenged Areas of the Philippines” (FORTH).
The Teresian School of Dublin students joined in a fundraising activity for TA social projects in Peru, India and Congo, managed by the DNGO InteRed, showing their solidarity in the time of Covid-19.
CONTINENTAL VIRTUAL SEMINAR PSE 2020
With the title Democracies, Technologies, Educations: Challenges in times of pandemics, the first virtual Seminar of the Socio-Educational Proposal, PSE, of the Teresian Association in Latin America was recently held.
On Thursday 15 October 2020 at 2.30 p.m. (Rome) Pope Francis relaunches the Global Compact on Education with a video message. The TA, from its charism and mission, joins to this urgent call to take Education as a global priority.
