A few days ago, Inés Carbajal received the 6th Award for Professional Work for Fair Trade from the City Council of León. The award recognises her efforts in promoting the dissemination and commercialisation of the work carried out by the women of the KURTA project in India.
Our Easter journey was preceded by three online conversations on the social encyclical Laudato Si’ (LS) entitled “A Culture of Care” with Jane Mellett who is actively involved in spreading the message of the encyclical. She is the LS Officer with Trócaire, the international development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland, the equivalent of Caritas in many countries She is also a member of the LS Working Group-Ireland.
The Bana Ya Poveda Centre in Kinshasa provides street children with school and vocational training, helping in their family and social reintegration. The Centre is a lively and busy place.
A work assignment has opened up horizons for a sewing workshop in which students with special needs are trained at the TA Education Centre in Malabo.

Project Youth ACT
160 young people from 14 countries of América and Europe, participating online in two webinars for closing the 3rd semester of the current project of EDIW, Youth ACT. This Project is being carried out by EDIW with universities and associations in Europe and America.
Virtual round table
On March 13, we had an online meeting, on the document La Sociedad Fragilizada/The Debilitated Society, the new publication of the Council for Culture, in which some members make a sociocultural analysis of the current situation, with mind and heart in the present moment.
Centred on the theme of The Debilitated Society, the Teresian Association in Portugal on March 20 coordinated a European meeting in which almost a hundred TA members and friends from nine countries on the continent took part online.
The TA Safeguarding Advisory Panel has endorsed a study presented by the ANAR (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk) Foundation. This is a non-profit organisation that has dedicated over fifty years to the advocacy and defence of the rights of children and adolescents in situations of risk and neglect in Spain and Latin America.
